I was digging through some files and came across this.
Well, I said i might give you a few photos. Here's one. I've been working on the interior mostly and you can see some of the seats. Basically all I have to do now is finish the cockpit and paint it up. :)
Well, actually got the Ford all back together within an hour after I messed it all up. So it's been moving surely, if slowly, forward since then. I have been working on the interior quite a bit lately. I hope to have it done soon. There was no interior with the original model so I have to make everything from scratch. I hope it turns out all right. It will be a medium to high quality model when it's done. I've learned a bunch on this model, so maybe I'll start on the AJ-37 next. I may upload some photos of the Ford soon.
Well, I have been working on the Ford Trimotor, but I had a problem come up that will take a while to fix. Actually it was shear stupidity on my part. I unwittingly cleared the parents of all the the objects. And anyone who knows anything about 3D modeling for YSFlight can tell you what mess that will make, especially after you have animated complex surfaces. So now I'm starting all over again placing objects and this time I have no points to snap objects to. Whew! This is going to be one long drawn out project.
Here are some pics of the Trimotor that that I'm working on. Not sure how long it will be until I can release it. I've added the high speed prop disks to the model myself; the rest of the model is unchanged so far. You can see there are still some shading issues, but I'll fix those soon. Right now the the model has roughly 8,500 faces total and there will be less by the time I'm finished.
